In-Home Dog and House-Sitting for Dogs That Don’t Handle Change Well

I maintain your dog’s exact routine, including feeding, medication, walks, and behavior patterns, so nothing breaks while you’re away.

Best suited for anxious, reactive, senior, or high-needs dogs.

Not designed for casual drop-ins or budget care.

Most dogs tolerate disruption. Some don’t.

If your dog depends on structure, routine, or careful handling, even a short absence can lead to stress behaviors, appetite changes, or regression.

I provide in-home dog and house-sitting that keeps your dog’s environment, schedule, and expectations consistent while you’re away.

Your dog stays in a system they already understand. Nothing new is introduced. Nothing is forced to adapt.

Built for Dogs That Require More Than Basic Care

I’m Marc Cooper. I have over 10 years of hands-on experience in dog rescue and long-term pet care.

My work has consistently involved dogs that are not straightforward to manage, including:

  • reactive or behaviorally sensitive dogs

  • anxious or easily dysregulated dogs

  • senior dogs with medical needs

  • dogs requiring medication and strict routines

  • multi-dog households with established dynamics

This is not general pet sitting. This is continuity-based care designed to prevent disruption.

Trusted by Los Angeles dog owners with consistent five-star reviews.

What Stays Consistent While You’re Away

  • Feeding schedules followed exactly as provided

  • Medication administered on time and as instructed

  • Walk routines maintained, including route preferences if needed

  • Behavioral patterns respected, not overridden

  • Environment kept stable and familiar

  • Home maintained clean, secure, and in the same condition you left it

  • Daily updates with photos and clear status reports

The objective is simple: your dog experiences no meaningful change in routine.

Pricing

Marc Cooper is an absolute gem of a dog sitter, and I cannot recommend him highly enough! Since Charlie and I connected with Marc earlier this fall, traveling has become a far less stressful experience for both of us. Marc's thoughtful and caring approach puts my mind at ease every time I leave town, knowing that Charlie is in the best possible hands.

One of the things I appreciate most about Marc is how communicative he is. He sends regular updates and the sweetest pictures of Charlie while I’m away, keeping me informed about their activities, interactions, and even little moments of joy. Whether it's playing in the yard or quiet playtime in the house, Marc’s attention to detail and genuine care for Charlie shines through in everything he does.

Charlie absolutely adores Marc, and it’s clear that the feeling is mutual. Marc's warmth and ability to connect with animals is unmatched, and I know Charlie feels comfortable and loved in his care. It’s such a relief to have someone as dependable and compassionate as Marc looking after my furry best friend.

If you’re looking for a dog sitter who is trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely wonderful, Marc is the one! Charlie and I are so lucky to have found him.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Marc Cooper! From the moment he met with me and my cockapoo, Toby, I felt comfortable leaving my furry buddy with him. He was so open to doing anything and everything to ensure I was at ease, including several meets at his apartment, a number of conversations about Toby’s likes/dislikes, food schedule and drop off/pick up time. While I was away, he texted me photos and video updates and let me know Toby was happy and healthy. I would not have been able to enjoy my vacation if I wasn’t 100% confident that Toby was in excellent hands. Marc is a calm, thoughtful, kind human being and I am so fortunate to have him care for Toby when I’m away.

What Clients Say

Marc Cooper recently dog and house sat for us and I cannot recommend him more highly!

From the moment he stepped into our home (on time!), he was extremely conscientious, communicative and especially loving with the dogs. They could feel his warm spirit right away and in return they seemed to have shown him their love and affection.

Everything in our home was clean and organized when we came home. He even took it upon himself to vacuum the dog hair off our sofa. He was so responsible and caring throughout his stay, and communicated with us often to keep us up to date on how the dogs were doing.

We have already asked Marc to come back again to stay with the dogs. I cannot imagine anyone not appreciating how thoughtful and dependable he is!

Finding Marc was truly a blessing! We feel so incredibly lucky to have found such a caring, loving, and dedicated dog sitter. We left our rescue dog, Duke, with Marc for 4 days, and he came back happy, healthy, and thriving. Duke is an extremely picky eater, yet Marc managed to get him to eat almost every meal, something that rarely happens! He also took Duke on long walks, including special trips to the local coffee shop for treats.

Marc cared for Duke as if he were his own and kept us updated the entire time with constant communication, photos, and videos. Knowing Duke was in such great hands allowed us to fully enjoy our vacation without worry. When we returned home, Duke was well-adjusted and content. We can’t recommend Marc highly enough!

I really am glad that Leah recommended Marc Cooper to dog-sit my difficult dog, Bandit. She is sweet (mostly) but was apparently the victim of some serious trauma before I adopted her as a one year old. She is very nervous, constantly on high alert and can be very reactive to both dogs and humans. Marc has been super patient and loving with her. She cuddled with him before she ever cuddled with me (after 4+ years of living with me)! He just has a way with her. He is enthusiastic about his role with her, and she is happy with him.

This is a huge relief because this dog tends to snap at and even nip people in my house. Marc was very careful to let her adjust to him and dictate the pace of their interactions. It worked and now after two separate dog-sitting gigs, she is at ease with him.

Marc is reliable, he shows up on time and waits for me to return from my trips. He sends me updates regularly about what they are up to, with pictures.

There is not much more to say other than I really appreciate Marc’s role in our lives. I highly recommend him as a dog-sitter.

About

I’m Marc Cooper. My background in dog rescue and long-term care has shaped how I approach this work.

I focus on stability, consistency, and understanding how individual dogs respond to their environment, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

When I’m caring for your dog, the goal is not just supervision. The goal is continuity, so your dog remains calm, regulated, and settled throughout your absence.

Once reserved, those dates cannot be offered to other clients.

For bookings of 14 days or longer, the reservation represents a significant commitment of time and opportunity.

2. Rates and Long-Term Courtesy Pricing

Quoted rates reflect the information provided at the time of booking, including number of dogs, care requirements, and length of stay.
